6th Annual Socktoberfest Sock Drive Brings in Thousands of Socks!

Looking Glass homeless youth staff members, Gary and Terra, show off just a few of the thousands of pairs of socks received this year.

The UO Softball team has supported this annual sock drive for several years - they are one of our larger donation location partners!

The 6th annual “Socktoberfest” sock donation drive for homeless youth was again a resounding success bringing in thousands of pairs of (mostly new) socks. The New Roads outreach team hands out socks on a daily basis to unhoused youth they encounter. Socks go fast at New Roads and this annual sock drive aims to sustain us year-round (but we usually run out by summer time).

Thank you to all of our amazing donation location partners and to the generous community who donated so many wonderful socks!

Thank you to Bi-Mart, Windermere Real Estate, Sparrow Nest Coffee, PeaceHealth, Heritage Bank, Macy’s, Euphoria Chocolate Company, Claim52 Brewing, the Kiwanis of Eugene and the UO Softball team!

Thank you also to KMTR-16 for providing some additional matching TV spots for this year’s video campaign!

Socks (and shoes!) are always in need. If you have the ability or interest in donating socks to our programs still you can always drop them off at our admin office at 1790 West 11th (2nd floor) in Eugene.
