A room is all set for a youth to stay at the newly opened RCC East campus.
In January of 2025, after months of facility upgrades, hiring, training and preparations, Looking Glass opened it’s 2nd Regional Crisis Center (RCC) location. The Looking Glass RCC provides residential, subacute mental health treatment services for youth of all genders, ages 11 to 18. The length of stay for youth can vary based on clinical need and treatment progress. Upon successful completion of the program youth will discharge to a community-based setting. The Regional Crisis Center contracts with the Department of Human Services and the Oregon Youth Authority for youth placement.
Looking Glass now offers RCC West (River Road) and RCC East (MLK Blvd). Between both locations, Looking Glass can now support up to 40 youth at any given time.
“We are so excited to be welcoming youth onto our expanded campus!” Said VP of Residential and Outpatient Services, Caitlin Peoples. “The RCC East campus will continue the amazing work that the RCC West campus has been doing over the last six years: providing much needed support to Oregon's most vulnerable youth and their families. Having a safe space to heal from difficult life experiences is crucial and we are honored to do this work. In addition to our continued partnership with DHS, we are excited to renew our partnership with the Oregon Youth Authority and to be serving youth in OYA custody on this campus as well. Finally, none of this could be possible without the tireless effort of our staff. We can't do the high caliber of work we do without their hard work and dedication.”
Looking Glass would also like to thank PeaceHealth and Lane County for their support of this new facility opening!
