The New Roads outreach team is thrilled with the amount of sock donations received!
The 3rd annual Socktoberfest sock drive was once again a tremendous success, generating thousands of pairs of new and gently used socks for homeless youth at New Roads. Donation locations around Lane County included Bi-Mart, Macy’s at Valley River Center, Windermere Real Estate offices, Columbia Bank branches, and PeaceHealth.
In addition to thousands of pairs of socks, donors gave dozens of pairs of shoes as well. Socks and shoes are constantly in short supply at New Roads and are crucial for the unhoused population. The Looking Glass outreach team, which proactively seeks out unhoused youth on their daily outreach walks, is incredibly thankful.
