In September 2020, it was announced that Looking Glass had received recognition from Oregon Business as a top nonprofit to work for in the state of Oregon. Organizations that finish in the top 100 are included and the criteria for making the list is entirely from existing employees providing feedback via online surveys.
“Looking Glass Community Services is honored and proud to have been included among the top 100 best nonprofits list,” said Looking Glass President & CEO Craig Opperman. “We greatly value our employees and their dedication to serving our most vulnerable community members each day – this award is representative of their passion.”
Partnering with the Nonprofit Association of Oregon and in its 12th year of cultivation, Oregon Business showcases nonprofits at the top of their game in creating rewarding workplaces for employees.
The entire Looking Glass community is excited to see how this accomplishment positively impacts hiring and recruiting strategies.
“We are proud of our dedicated staff to earn a place in Oregon's top 100 best non-profits,” Looking Glass Human Resources Director Christy Mafoti & the rest of the HR Team explained. “While we have always strived to be a top social service agency, this affirms our role as a leading nonprofit in our community. We hope this exposure can continue to bring social service professionals into our agency and help us fulfill our mission. Congratulations to our staff for earning this recognition!”
